  • If Windows doesn't find a new driver, you can try looking for one on the device manufacturer's website and follow their instructions. Reinstall the device driver. In the search box on the taskbar, enter device manager, then select Device Manager. Right-click (or press and hold) the name of the device, and select Uninstall. Restart your PC.
People having problems with win* systems are responsibel for it themself. There is no support from me fortheir problems. The only thing I can tell them is to replace the win* systemwith a real operating system. Examples herefor would be a BSD like NetBSD or one of theLinux - distributions like Debian or RedHat (but not Suse).

This page should give you an overview of PCMCIA Cards tested on the native 16 bit PCMCIA-Slot of an AMIGA A1200 or A600.
This list isn't ment to be complete and comes with no warranty!
If you have tested a card (successfully or not) that is not (completely/correctly) listed here please mail me a short report. It should contain a short list with the used software and hardware (and needed patches/reworks) and detailed informatin about the card(manufacturer, product, type, connectors, MAC, Webpage (URL) with data,...).
Please send me Data about non-network PCMCIA Cards for the Amiga as well. And of course I'm also interested in W-LAN Cards.
Regarding the 100 MBit Ethernet cards you could generally say that they stay faraway from the theoretical maximum speed and in practice only reach about 11 MBit.This limitation is not caused by the Amiga. But often they use up less CPU power than comparable 10 MBit cards and usually require the cnet16.device.

NEWS:

  • 06.09.14: work in progress for 100 MBit cards for the amiga linux kernel version 3.16.1.
  • 13.08.07: new CNet Device version 1.9 has been released
  • 15.01.06: patch for 100 MBit cards for amigalinux kernel version 2.6.8.
  • 03.11.05: patch for 100 MBit cards for amigalinux kernel version 2.4.20.
  • 13.09.05: CNet Device version 1.9b1 has been released
  • work on NetBSD patches unfortunately hasn't started yet.

The StarTech 4-Port Gigabit Ethernet Network Card is a dependable and cost-effective way to add four high-performance Gigabit Ethernet ports to your server or desktop computer, through one PCI Express slot.

Features

  1. Add four 10/100/1000 RJ-45 Ethernet ports to a client, server or desktop PC
  2. Intel I350-AM4 chipset with Intel Virtualisation Technology for connectivity
  3. PXE network boot
  4. Supplied with low profile bracket

This Gigabit Ethernet network card features the Intel I350-AM4 chipset, designed to deliver the power, performance and enhanced capabilities you need for reliable network connections to your server or computer. The Intel chip provides a number of advanced driver options including IEEE 802.3ad link aggregation / teaming support, which enables you to add additional bandwidth to your system.

Compliant with IEEE 802.3/u/ab standards, the network card provides full support for high-performance, four-channel networking and maximum throughput up to 1000Mbps in each direction (2000 Mbps total) - up to ten times faster than 10/100 Ethernet.

Cost-effective access to multiple networks

The quad-port Gigabit network card makes it easy to access multiple networks. It offers a cost-effective solution for IT professionals in government, educational, corporate, health care, or business environments where access to multiple networks from numerous workstations is needed. The server adapter card gives you four redundant, independent Gigabit Ethernet ports and it supports advanced features such as Jumbo Frames and VLAN tagging.

Enhanced versatility and efficiency

Compatible with a broad range of operating systems, this versatile PCIe Gigabit NIC is suitable for many business and enterprise applications - including virtualised environments with multiple operating systems, requiring multiple shared or dedicated NICs. The 4-port Gigabit network card is equipped with Intel Virtualisation Technology for Connectivity (Intel VT-c) which reduces system latency and improves networking throughput. Four dedicated ports allow you to maximise your virtualised server’s networking efficiency and create a more agile data centre.

With a dual-profile design, the PCI Express network card installs easily into a wide range of computer/server chassis, regardless of form factor. The card is equipped with a full-sized bracket, and includes a low-profile/half-height installation bracket that you can use as needed.
